Yes! On our list of 12 must-haves when we were looking at places to buy was "laundry space separate from kitchen, even if just a glorified cupboard". I've adapted to many things about small-space British living over the years, but I'll never get used to the washing machine underneath the toaster. So what we have here is about three washing machines wide and just over one deep, with nice big double doors.
It's been a filthy day here, with icy winds, multiple hailstorms, and constant rainstorms. So having a bit of DIY lined up for the next couple of days is a good plan - it's not like it's going to be pleasant on the allotment!
